Learn and Get

You can learn about high-tech assistive technology including power wheelchairs, home automation devices, and new software solutions as well as everyday low-tech ideas for help with buttons, socks, shower chairs, and more. You can get help from Assistive Technology Specialists to identify just what assistive technology or services you need to work, succeed in school, enjoy recreation, and to participate in your community more independently. With the Covid-19 pandemic disrupting social opportunities as well as work, school, sports, and meetings of all kinds, social isolation is a concern for many. You may be surprised at the solutions that are available.

What You Can Get

You can get your hands on all sorts of technology! Experienced AT Specialists provide you with demonstrations so that you can see and try a device, the opportunity to borrow a device at no cost, to get a used device if that’s the best solution for you, help locate funding for a new or used device, or teach individuals or groups how to maintain and use technology. So it comes down to this: You get a demonstration of your choice of a device or a service and the training you may need to determine if it’s the right solution, all provided by an AT Specialist at no charge to you. Additionally you have access to a device loan inventory and the DME reuse inventory. And if you need it, we’ll help you find possible funding solutions. Call 1-800-526-3648 for more information.
